The armchairs Hug and Chloè decorate with elegance the renovation of the arch. Nicola Spinetto

An old Genoa-style apartment of approximately 150 m², located in the historic centre of Chiavari, Liguria, has been completely renovated and divided into two apartments, making new use of the attic and living spaces.

Having remained uninhabited for a long period of time, it bore definite signs of its abandoned past and major work was needed to recover the fresco-painted vaults and period ‘cementina’ mosaic tiled flooring. The renovation work also made use of materials other than those which would have originally been used, in order to create a different feel in each space. Designer furniture and armchairs were chosen to elegantly furnish the new spaces, Ditre Italia products of high quality selected carefully by the showroom Dimore of Chiavari.

Armchairs Hug and Chloè, capable of playing an important part in this design project, were chosen in an elegant leather finish.

The Hug armchair creates a show-stopping feature, thanks to its unique all-in-one seat and backrest design, supported by exclusive wooden armrests.

Rounded shapes and soft padding are used for the Chloè armchair, which creates a cosy refuge.
